UK Trade & Investment International Festival of Business 2016

Schlötter Ireland attended this on one day event in Liverpool on the invitation of the British Embassy in Ireland. The event provided a tremendous opportunity for Schlötter Ireland to gain a better understanding of the types of industry sectors (outside of our core business) that are established in Britain.

The UK chemicals manufacturing industry is the 2 nd largest gross-value- added industry in the UK and is active in all three principle sub-sectors: commodity, speciality and consumer chemicals.

"Catalysing Success for UK Chemicals" was an insightful one-day event bringing together chemical industry professionals from the UK and overseas for seminars, capability displays, 1-2- 1 business meetings and networking.

"Catalysing Success for UK Chemicals" formed part of the 3-week long International Festival of Business, and featured a range of industry sectors including  chemicals, automotive, energy, food & drink and digital.

The one day event covered the following.

• Presentations by some of the largest chemical companies in the world including Ineos, Sabic and BASF
